Engine Operations - Engine Company Operations are the foundation of all firefighting efforts in the AFD. A full understanding of these operations is essential to the success of the department and the preservation of life and property in the City of Apopka. The most decisive event at a fire is the initial process of deploying, charging, and advancing "The First Line" to the heart of the fire. The goal of this course is to facilitate engine companies in those crucial first moments through the understanding of modern fire environment data and best practices in the fire service.
